Homeschooling this school year?  Let's hang out!

New to Lafourche Parish Public Library for the 2024 -2025 school year is the "Homeschool Hangout," a workshop dedicated to helping homeschool families explore and incorporate library programming and resources into the homeschool curriculum. 

​

Homeschooling families are invited to join us this school year as we go on a learning adventure!  When libraries and families collaborate, there are endless educational opportunities to explore.  Keep reading to learn how we can enhance your homeschool curriculum through engaging enrichment activities at the library this school year!

HOW CAN HOMESCHOOL HANGOUT HELP?

  • The library can provide and host a wide variety of activities and resources to supplement, enrich, and enhance the homeschool curriculum, including, but not limited to:

    • Academic Fairs

    • Arts & Craft Workshops

    • Book Clubs

    • Book and Resource Kits

    • Computer Science, Programming, and Keyboarding Workshops

    • College & Career Readiness

    • Educational Tools 

    • Electronic and Digital Resources

    • Guest Speakers

    • Makerspace Projects

    • Research Instruction and Support

    • Social Activities (Games, Clubs, Meet-Ups, etc.)
