If you’re a Harry Potter fan like me, Jody Revenson’s book Crafting Wizardry : the Official Harry Potter Craft Book is worth checking out. This book is filled with magical crafting projects relating to the world of Harry Potter. It is split into four chapters with over twenty-five themed crafts. The book includes easy to follow illustrated instructions, along with a guide for project skill levels. The crafts include the Monster Book of Monsters, Hermione’s Time-Turner necklace, and a beautiful Patronus charm lighted shadow box. The book also features concept art and behind the scenes stills from the movies, as well as fun facts about the characters and overworld of Harry Potter.
Crafting Wizardry : the Official Harry Potter Craft Book is well written. There’s both replica crafts from the franchise as well as inspired crafts, ranging in skill level from beginner (for children) to advanced adult crafters. I especially liked how the author included helpful notes throughout the book to make assembling crafts easier. The only drawback to this book is that some of the crafting can get expensive, as they require specialized tools that the average person may not have at home. - Katie, Reference Librarian
