Summer Experience 2021: June 1 - July 31
Are you ready to explore the animal kingdom this summer at your Lafourche Parish Public Library? Our 2021 Summer Experience is headed to a library branch near you this June and July to the theme of "Tails and Tales!"
This year's Summer Experience is a hybrid program, meaning we will have both virtual and in-person offerings for you to enjoy. Amazing animal adventures await you at your Lafourche Parish Public Library this summer - the fun begins June 1!
SUMMER EXPERIENCE REGISTRATION AND PARTICIPATION
Our 2021 Summer Experience is taking place both in-person & online, which means that you can participate in the program in which ever way works best for you! We have a variety of program offerings for you this summer - some in-person, some online - so you can enjoy the benefits of your Lafourche Parish Public Library however your family chooses.
We are using Beanstack again this year to log participation, earn badges, and win prizes. Whether you participate in our Summer Experience in-person or from home, you will be using Beanstack to keep track of your participation. See the section below for more information on how to use Beanstack.
Our summer programming opportunities will include both in-person, virtual, & take-home options so that you can participate in Summer Experience in the way that works best for you! See the sections below for more information about our summer programming.

Participate in Programs Either In-Person or Virtually
Branches are hosting a variety of in-person programs, & you can also participate virtually in our online events streaming on Facebook, YouTube, & at lafourche.org.
Reach Milestones to Earn Rewards & Be Entered Into the Grand Prize Drawing
As you log your participation in Beanstack, you will earn milestone rewards that can be picked up at your home branch. Complete the challenge to be entered in a drawing for a fun prize pack!

How to Create Your Beanstack Account:

Launch the Beanstack website or download the free app in the App Store or Google Play Store on or after June 1.

Start the registration process by clicking REGISTER AN INDIVIDUAL OR FAMILY.

Select whether to register yourself or your child.

If you are registering a family, the parents should begin by selecting
I AM REGISTERING MYSELF. Once complete, follow the prompts to add another adult or child. -
To view and log under each family member's name, choose SWITCH READER in the upper left corner of the page.

Select REGISTER next to the Summer Experience challenge and follow the prompts to complete registration.
How to Participate in the Beanstack Summer Experience:
Log Reading Time
Break out the books - it is time to read! Log your reading time to unlock badges and earn tickets to spend in drawings. The more you read, the more you earn!
Log Activities
Summer Experience isn't just about reading! Complete activities by participating in programs, exploring databases, making crafts, and more to earn badges.
Write Reviews
Share what you thought about a book with the LPPL community! Review books that you have read and logged to earn even more badges.
Reach Milestones
Earn rewards when you reach certain milestones. Pick up your rewards at your home branch. Complete the challenge to be entered in a drawing for a prize pack.
