Summer Experience 2022:  May 31 - July 31

Are you ready to make a splash this summer at your Lafourche Parish Public Library?  Our 2022 Summer Experience is headed to a library branch near you this June and July to the theme of "Oceans of Possibilities."  
 
This year's Summer Experience is a hybrid program, meaning we will primarily have in-person offerings with a few virtual options for you to enjoy.  This summer at your Lafourche Parish Public Library is going to be fin-tastic!   The fun begins May 31!

SUMMER EXPERIENCE REGISTRATION AND PARTICIPATION

Registration

Our 2022 Summer Experience is taking place both in-person & online, which means that you can participate in the program in which ever way works best for you!  We have a variety of program offerings for you this summer - most in-person, some online - so you can enjoy the benefits of your Lafourche Parish Public Library however your family chooses.

Participate in Programs Either In-Person or Virtually

Branches are hosting a variety of in-person programs, & you can also participate virtually in our online events streaming on Facebook, YouTube, & at lafourche.org.

  • Launch the Beanstack website or download the free app in the App Store or Google Play Store on or after May 16.

  • Start the registration process by clicking REGISTER AN INDIVIDUAL OR FAMILY.

  • Select whether to register yourself or your child. 

  • If you are registering a family, the parents should begin by selecting
    I AM REGISTERING MYSELF. Once complete, follow the prompts to add another adult or child.

  • To view and log under each family member's name, choose SWITCH READER in the upper left corner of the page. 

  • Select REGISTER next to the Summer Experience challenge and follow the prompts to complete registration.

Break out the books - it is time to read!  Log your reading time to unlock badges and work toward milestone rewards.  The more you read, the more you earn!

Share what you thought about a book with the LPPL community!  Review books that you have read and logged to earn exclusive badges.

OYSTER TRINKET DISH WITH JESSICA CASSEL

Finding oneself immersed in arts and crafts is a form of meditation to calm the mind.  Crafters choose an animal print or Cajun scene and utilize the technique of "faux" painting onto an oyster shell to create a unique trinket dish.
